Trail Running the Olympic National Forest
It was such a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday in the Olympic Peninsula. Claire and I went trail running along the Aurora Ridge towards Crescent Lake. We wished we had more time to complete the ridge hike, but 12pm hit and we had to head back to get the organic Diestal Farm turkey in the oven!
The above pictures are from our trail run. The elevation gain was about 2500 feet with great views between the dense trees at the top of the ridge. The hike began with small rivers and little snow. At the tops of the ridge, we were running through 4 inches of soft snow! It was beautiful!
