Nutrient IV Therapy Benefits

What is IV Therapy and How Does It Work?

The body requires a number of vitamins and minerals in order to function.

When a person is sick or has a chronic illness, their body becomes unable to absorb vitamins and minerals. The cellular absorption could be slow, dysfunctional or non-existent. When this happens, cells cannot work properly and they cannot contribute to the healing of the rest of the body.

As the balance of essential elements falls outside of optimal ranges, a person can experience pain, fatigue, mental fog, mood instability, and many other signs and symptoms of low nutrients.  The body has also been shown to heal itself and manage more effectively when specific nutrients and compounds are delivered directly into the blood stream.

IV Nutrient Therapy bypasses the digestive system and allows nutrients to be absorbed quickly into the blood stream and straight into the cells that are deficient

Unlike oral supplements, IV Nutrient Therapy conveys nutrients directly into the body’s cells allowing the benefits to begin sooner.

What Conditions Does IV Therapy Treat?

How Long Does Treatment Take?

Each patient will receive a custom treatment plan. On average, each IV infusion takes 1.5 – 3 hours. Most patients repeat the procedure 1 – 2 times per week depending on their course of treatment. Each individual’s wellness plan is unique.

Vitamin IV pushes are also available. These require less time. The nutrient content is less yet benefits are seen.

Before beginning therapy, each patient undergoes a thorough evaluation. During this appointment, treatment time and options are discussed.

Nutrient IV Treatment Protocols

There are numerous treatment protocols for various conditions. Listed below, you will find many of the IV Treatments we offer. Our IV Treatment include, but are not limited to the following:

IV Nutrient Therapy and Myers Cocktail

The popular Myers Cocktail developed over 30 years ago by the late John Myers, MD, is a combination of magnesium chloride, calcium gluconate, thiamine, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, calcium pantothenate, vitamin B complex, and vitamin C.

It can be used to support adrenal and immune health. Some patients have found relief from chronic fatigue, asthma, migraines, fibromyalgia and other autoimmune conditions.

Glutathione IV

Glutathione is found naturally in all blood and tissue. An anti-oxidant, it can improve brain and liver function.  Glutathione IV therapy has successfully been used in assisting the body to excrete mercury and other metals. Glutathione IV Therapy is used to help patients with conditions arising from colitis, arthritis, any autoimmune condition, and asthma through detoxification and reduction in inflammation.

Alpha Lipoic Acid IV

Alpha Lipoic Acid is a nutrient found in foods like potatoes, spinach and broccoli. Alpha Lipoic Acid has been shown to prevent damage to cells in the body and restore beneficial levels of certain vitamins.

Administered as an IV, this antioxidant has been shown to alleviate symptoms of diabetes, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, certain cardiac problems and glaucoma.

High Dose Vitamin C

Intravenous Vitamin C is another effective form of treatment and can be used as adjunct therapy with Chemotherapy as it can boost the immune system. It has also been used to treat infections, support artery health and the clearing of heavy metals in the blood stream.
